Johnathan Joseph Children: Meet Jay’vion Joseph

Jonathan Lee Joseph, a former cornerback in American football, was born on April 16, 1984. At Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas, Joseph began playing football.

Before going to the University of South Carolina to play for the Gamecocks, he spent a year there. Joseph accumulated remarkable stats throughout his two seasons with the Gamecocks and received numerous awards, including the Outstanding Defensive Back Award during spring practice.

Joseph wasn’t considered a top NFL Draft prospect when he was playing for his college team, but after a successful 2005 season in which he recorded 55 tackles, four interceptions, and nine pass breakups, his draft stock skyrocketed.

Following that, Joseph received an invitation to the NFL Combine where he turned in a time of 4.31 seconds, greatly enhancing his draft standing. Joseph was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft as a result.

Throughout his NFL career, Joseph played for a variety of teams, including the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals. Joseph’s football career was marked by many successes, including selection to two Pro Bowls and an AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
