With four tackles and a ball deflection in a win over the Chicago Bears, Johnathan Joseph made a strong start to the 2016 NFL season. He had eight solo tackles and one more pass deflection to a 24-21 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While playing against the Green Bay Packers, he did suffer a rib injury that required him to miss two games.
Despite the setback brought on by injury, Joseph had a strong season. He finished with 45 tackles (38 solo), and nine pass deflections, but failed to intercept a pass for the first time in his career. The Texans captured the AFC South with a 9-7 record.
After the 2019 season, Joseph signed a contract with the Tennessee Titans. He contributed to the Titans’ 31-30 victory over the Minnesota Vikings by forcing a fumble and making his first interception as a Titan.
However, in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, he gave up eight completions for 92 yards and a touchdown. The Titans released Joseph on November 3.
Soon after being released, on November 11, 2020, the Arizona Cardinals signed Joseph. In a victory over the Buffalo Bills, he made his professional debut; however, on December 12, he was later placed on injured reserve.
