Johnny Bilton Wockenfuss was born on 27 February 1949 in Welch, West Virginia.
He was an American professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball and managed in the minor league.

They married in October 2018 after being introduced to her by one of his siblings. Wockenfuss played in multiple positions and was noted to have an unorthodox batting stance and strong throwing arm. He played professionally for the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies.
After his playing career ended, Wochenfuss ventured into management where he worked with the Lakeland Tigers in the minor league.
He was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame in 1993. Wockenfuss was one of the best all-around athletes produced by John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, Delaware. He lettered in football, basketball, and baseball.
Wockenfuss had been married earlier to Pamela Lennon in 1971. They had three children; sons John Bradley and Jeremy James, and daughter Caitlin Tara.
