John Rose And Wife Chelsea Doss’ Age Difference Gained Attention To His Family

One of Rose’s most notable works includes the establishment of the Jerry and Betty Williams Rose Scholarship, in the loving memory of his parents. The scholarship is awarded to agricultural students at Tennessee Tech. His partner, Chelsea is a recipient of the scholarship as well.

Currently, John is 58 and Chelsea is 34 years old. Rose was born in Cookeville, Tennessee, on February 23, 1965. On the other hand, Doss was born in Murfreesboro in 1989. 

The politician was 27 when he founded Transcender Corp. in 1992. It was an online information provider company. He was appointed the Commissioner of Agriculture for Tennessee in 2002, aged 37.

The political career of the Cookeville-born began in 2018, at the age of 53. The Republican was elected a member of the House of Representatives from his hometown.

The most astonishing fact about Doss is that she was born a year after Rose earned his graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1988. 

Rose married Chelsea in 2011. At the time of their marriage, the politician was 46 and his partner was 22.

The Rose couple became parents for the first time in 2017 after they welcomed their first child in the family. Doss became a mother at the age of 28 while John became a father at the age of 52. 

Chelsea Doss Works For A Non Profit Organization

Chelsea Doss is the executive director of the Tennessee FFA Foundation. Chelsea has been serving in that position since 2014.

Doss was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Her Linkedin profile mentions that she attended Eagleville High School and completed her graduation in 2007 with a major in Agriculture. While at college, she was active in sports and played basketball and softball.

The 33-year-old was the student body vice president and the FFA president during her college years. She currently runs a family farm in Cookeville, Tennessee, with her partner. 

Rose is a former Tennesse commissioner of agriculture himself. He also served as the chairman of Tennesse Future Farmers (FFA) of America. Chelsea was a member of the organization during her high school days. 

When Chelsea was a junior at Tennessee Technological University, she was awarded the Rose Scholarship provided by her future husband, John. Doss said in the media that John coached her and made everything possible for her in FFA since high school.

The Tennessee-born was a junior at Tennessee Tech when she received the scholarship. Then-20-years-old, Doss was studying agribusiness management and agricultural communications.

Doss was appointed Tennessee state FFA officer while in college. Furthermore, she became the national FFA officer in 2009. A Tennesse Tech press reported that Chelsea is the fresh face of modern FFA who will become a pathfinder for other students nationwide.

Their Married Life

John Rose married Chelsea Doss on January 8, 2011. The couple is living a happy married life in Cookeville.

John Rose wedding ceremony was organized at the First Baptist Church in his hometown, Cookeville.

The businessman wished his wife a happy 8th anniversary in 2019. Rose shared the photo of the couple on Facebook and wrote that Chelsea is truly his partner in life and is a wonderful mother. He also thanked everyone for their support. 

There is no exact time record of when John and Chelsea began to start a romantic relationship with each other. However, it is certain that Chelsea met Rose for the first time during her college years attending Tennessee Technological University.

In 2007, Rose was the commissioner of agriculture for Tennessee and the vice chairman of the board of the Tennessee FFA. A high school senior, Doss participated in the state’s 79th annual FFA convention and won the State Superior award.

Doss was appointed the acting FFA president from 2007 to 2008 while at Tennessee Tech as a junior. She was awarded the Rose scholarship established by John. During her engagement, her future husband was the chairman of the Tennessee FFA Foundation.

The love for agriculture and non-profit, volunteering brought the two people together. They both are students of agriculture and share a common interest in promoting it. The professional common ground served as a medium to bring Rose and Doss together in real life.

John Rose children include his two sons Guy and Sam. The Rose couple has a perfect family of four.

Guy Rose was born in 2017 as the first child in the Rose family. Guy was raised by his parents in Cookeville.

On the occasion of Valentine’s Day in 2021, Rose shared the news that he was expecting a second baby with his partner. Posting a photo of Doss and his child, John wrote that Guy was about to become a brother in March.

Guy became a big brother after Sam was born. He is four years older that his sibling.

Sam Rose was born on March 24, 2021, to John and Chelsea. John announced the arrival of his second child via Instagram.

The politician shared the news about the newly-born second baby via Instagram and thanked god for blessing the family with a healthy, beautiful baby boy.

Through the post, Rose disclosed that the delivery took place at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He further confirmed that it was a safe delivery and that the mother and baby both were healthy.

Sam celebrated his first birthday in 2023. John shared a glimpse of the celebration via Twitter on March 23. He wished a happy birthday to Sam and further added that at one year old, Sam is walking, exploring, and always interested in what big brother is up to.
