John Manalo born (John Vladimir Cruz Manalo) is a Filipino actor who is formerly a member of ABS-CBN’s circle of homegrown talents named Star Magic. He is a multi-awarded child actor. He is the nephew of Jericho Rosales.

John Manalo, best remembered as a mainstay of “Goin’ Bulilit,” has gone a long way since his stint in the ABS-CBN kiddie gag show, and is now in fact fresh out of college.

On Instagram, the young actor shared one of his graduation portraits, notably with his girlfriend, Erika Rabara. The couple reportedly graduated from University of Santo Tomas.

Manalo took up AB Communication Arts, while Rabara finished cum laude with a degree in BS Medical Technology.

In the caption of the photo, Manalo was clearly a proud boyfriend to Rabara, to whom he paid tribute by enumerating and explaining three principles that helped her clinch the accomplishment.

Manalo wrote, unedited: “Let’s talk about ‘priority’ first. Nung nililigawan palang kita, alam ko na talaga kung ano ang priority mo, at yun ay ang pag-aaral mo. Ni minsan hindi sumagi sa isip ko na dapat ‘tayo’ ang maging priority mo. Kagaya nga nang palagi kong sinasabi sayo, hindi ko babaguhin ang landas ng iyong paglalakbay kundi sasamahan kita sa pangarap na matagal mo ng gustong makamit.

“Pangalawa naman ay ang sakripisyo. Dugo’t pawis, puyat at pag iyak. Pagbabasa ng libro habang bumabiyahe, naglalakad, kumakain, at ngumingiti sa harap ng camera. Nakita ko ang lahat ng pagod at sakripisyo na nilaan mo para sayong pag-aaral. Ito ang lagi mong tatandaan nandito lang ang panyo ko para sa iyong mga luha, ang balikat ko na handang umalalay pag hindi mo na kaya, at ang bibig ko na hindi magsasawang sabihin sayo na ‘Kaya mo yan, love.’”

He went on: “Lastly, faith. Nakaya mo ang lahat ng paghihirap dahil sentro ng relasyon natin si God. Lahat ng bagay na ginagawa mo ay inaalay mo para sa kanya. Maraming mas nakatatanda ang nagsasabi na ang relasyon ay maaaring makasira ng pagaaral ngunit salungat yun sa mga nangyari sa atin, hindi natin hinila ang bawat isa pababa, bagkos hinatak natin pataas ang bawat isa. Congratulations, Erika Cecilia Rabara, my CUM LAUDE.”

Manalo, 22, was last seen on screen in an episode of “Ipaglaban Mo” in 2017. His three-year role in “Goin’ Bulilit” was followed by a string of supporting roles in primetime series, including “Mara Clara,” “Princess and I,” and “Bridges of Love.”

He now aspires to be a filmmaker, and chronicles much of his photography work on his Instagram page. His favorite subject, it appears, is Rabara.

On 28 February 2019, Manalo, Gabb and Kathryn Bernardo re-united. In the caption, Gabbi revealed how far she, Kathryn, and John have come in their showbiz careers. The three stars, who entered the industry when they were kids, are now in their early 20s.

Gabbi wrote, “est. 2003 modeling days [laughing emoji] started from the bottom now we’re here! lol”

Former Goin’ Bulilit child actor Carl John Barrameda now engaged

The former Goin ‘Bulilit child actor Carl John Barrameda, 25, has been involved with his non-showbiz girlfriend Nikolai Cimatu.

In the Instagram post of the former child actor on February 19, he said: “She said YES! I love you! @Nikolaicimatu.”

In his next post on February 20, Carl wrote: “Before I was kneeling, now I’m in my future wife.”

In his Facebook account, congratulatory messages for the former comedy child actor also poured.

Through Facebook messaging, Carl was once talked to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), February 28.

Carl’s introduction, “On February 19 I proposed to him.

“In Hong Kong this happened.”

She added that her relationship with the 25-year-old non-showbiz girlfriend was six years old.

When do they plan to get married?

Carl replied, “Our target is March next year.”

Carl is included in the first batch of Goin ‘Bulilit from 2005 to 2007.

Aside from Goin ‘Bulilit , Carl also went to the famous prime-time series of ABS-CBN Angel Eyes.

Once again, Nikolai is a 4th year student at the University of Santo Tomas, the College of Fine Arts and Design, major in Advertising.
