John Hitt Wife: Who Is Martha Hitt?

John Hitt, a former president of the University of Central Florida (UCF), passed away on Monday after leading the Orlando institution through exceptional development throughout his 26-year tenure.

The institution expanded under Hitt’s direction from a small, peaceful campus to one of the biggest in the nation, with more than 68,000 students. Hitt’s vision enabled the university to develop aggressively by constructing a football stadium, a medical school, a hospitality college along the tourist route, and a campus in the heart of Orlando.

John Hitt Wife: Who Is Martha Hitt?

John Hitt, a native of Texas, was the first person in his family to enrol in college. At Austin College, he was an offensive lineman for the football team. It was there that he first met Martha, the woman he would later wed in 1961.

Hitt leaves behind his wife, Charles and Sharon, their children, and his grandchildren.

By the time Hitt’s presidency was over, the university’s mission and culture had been so transformed by his dedication to partnerships that UCF registered the name “America’s Partnership University” as a trademark.

John and Martha Hitt put forth a lot of effort at UCF to build relationships with the community, nurture benefactors, hire top-notch academics, and expand the university’s alliances. John Hitt regularly ascribed the university’s accomplishments to its faculty and personnel, asserting that “without a great faculty, there can be no great university.”
