John Goodman was quite a talented football player during his high school and college years but he was forced to stop playing after suffering an injury so he switched to acting instead. Since then, we’ve had a chance to see him in numerous films and TV shows, mostly comedies, and he’s also been one of the most frequent hosts of Saturday Night Live.
He married Annabeth Hartzog in 1989 and they have been happily married ever since. They share one daughter together.
Goodman opened up about his alcoholism in 2009, but he’s been sober for quite some time now. He has also battled his weight for most of his life but thanks to regular workouts and keeping a track of what he was eating, he managed to lose over 50 kgs.
