Nkukuthane Johanna Mazibuko was born on May 11, 1894, and raised on a maize farm in the farming region of Ottosdal.
Because of her advanced age and the high standard of living on the farms, Johanna Mazibuko is unable to recall all of her childhood experiences.
Johana spent the majority of her life working as a domestic for farm owners, and she did so with honesty and effort. She had a nice marriage and a good family.
Johanna said she wishes she could walk like she did when she was younger. She currently has trouble hearing, but she can still see and use a frame to get around her house.

She married Stawana Mazibuko, an older man whose wife had passed away and who she claimed was an independent guy with a horse and cows.
Her husband treated her well, and they had seven children together, five of whom have since passed away and two of whom are still alive today.
