Zone started his career as a journalist at a radio station in Syracuse, N.Y. Thereafter, NBC took him to Los Angeles, where he worked at KNBC-TV as a weekend sports anchor. In his career, he made three stops at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pa., at WJAR-TV in Providence, R.I., At WCBS-TV in New York, and at WFLD-TV in Chicago.
Joe worked on WSTM-TV in Syracuse, N.Y., where he covered the Big East, the New York Yankees, NASCAR, and golf. He joined WFSB Eyewitness Sports as Sports Director in January 2006.
Throughout his lifetime, Joe covered every major sporting event from the Americas Cup to the World Cup. An old-fashioned fan of Yankees and Giants, Joe’s interests include salt water aquariums.
