Joe Mixon’s 2014 Assault Video Goes Viral On TikTok – What Happened?

Mixon was charged with misdemeanor assault the summer before he arrived at college when he was accused of hitting OU student Amelia Molitor during a dispute on July 25.

Molitor was knocked out and suffered four facial fractures. As a result of the tragedy, she required reconstructive surgery. The allegations were brought against Mixon in August, and he was prosecuted.

Molitor said she had never seen Mixon until he attacked her in the face and broke four of her bones. Before the incident, she told Mixon was “harassing” her and several of her friends at Pickleman’s.

Mixon approached Molitor at a table in the video, which wasn’t revealed to the public until December 2016, and when he walked away, Molitor shoved him.

After that, Mixon rushed at her. Molitor retaliated with a smack across the left side of his neck. Mixon then hit her in the face with his right fist, knocking her to the ground and into the table.

After the punch, Mixon exited the scene. As police arrived, Molitor was able to get up from the floor and sit in a chair.

“He hit me once,” she admitted. “He fractured my face in four places… my nose, my sinuses, they’re all broken,” said the victim.

Mixon was charged with misdemeanor violence on August 15, 2014, and Oklahoma suspended him for the entire 2014 season on August 19, 2014.

Joe was allowed to continue taking classes while maintaining his financial assistance, but he was unable to participate in any team activities.

Molitor and Mixon had a civil dispute that was settled out of court. Molitor claimed in a statement to NFL.com that she was relieved to be able to settle the case and that she and Mixon met privately to address the event without the presence of attorneys.

She stated that they would put the issue behind them after they had done discussing it. Joe was not detained at the time, according to many sources, since the matter between the two parties was dismissed.

Following the video’s publication, he apologized to Molitor, begging for her forgiveness and that he had let a lot of people down, to which her attorney answered, “Molitor acknowledged the apologies.”

We are hopeful that today’s events will aid in the process of bringing those responsible to justice and, in the end, in settlement of all other concerns relating to that night.”
