Joe Cattini Net Worth At Death

After 70 years, two soldiers who fought side by side on D-Day were unintentionally reunited.

Denys Hunter, 90, and Joe Cattini, 91, who were in the same Herefordshire Yeomanry unit on Gold Beach, were overjoyed to reunite.

In advance of this week’s 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944, when 156,000 Allied troops joined forces to land on the beaches of Normandy and start liberating Europe from Nazi Germany’s occupation, the old comrades chatted and cracked jokes before taking a ferry to France yesterday.

Joe remarked that visiting the graves of dead pals in the Normandy war cemetery “does get you,” Denys considered how fortunate he and his old buddy were to have survived the Second World War combat.
