Nicklas was diagnosed with MPS at five years old. He could not even lift his hand above his head due to it. The disease forced him to give up on his dreams. Nicklas now no longer laces up.
The older Harkins has completed his education at the University of British Columbia with a degree in political science. He was the Cougar’s assistant equipment manager.
