Jesse Treviño Net Worth At Time Of Death

Jesse Trevio, one of San Antonio’s most well-known and prolific artists, has passed away. Our Lady of the Lake University released a statement on Monday morning announcing the death of the painter, muralist, and tile artist. He was 76.

When Trevio was younger, he received a full scholarship to attend an art school in New York City; however, he was later drafted into the Vietnam War. He hurt himself by detonating a land mine in a rice field, and he eventually had an amputation of his painting arm.

At the Fort Sam Houston Brooke Army Medical Center, where he was recovering from his injuries, he met double amputee Armando Albarran, who persuaded him to begin painting with his left arm. The city is covered in murals and tile artwork created by Trevino.

Trevio was born in Mexico, but at the age of two, he and his family relocated to San Antonio.

He was up in the city’s West Side and had an early love of the arts. He won his first drawing competition when he was just six years old, and at the age of eighteen, he got a scholarship to an art school in New York City.
