Jayshawn Boyd was a victim of the inmates’ violent assault. In addition, he was a convicted felon with a history of mental health problems. Boyd was initially brought to the University Hospital on September 23rd. Until the footage of his assault leaked on social media, the reason was unclear.

Jayshawn was subjected to torture by his fellow inmates. They surrounded him and thrashed him till he was rendered senseless on the ground. Their savagery, however, did not stop there.

Then they attacked Boyd with anything they could find, including a microwave, a push broom, and a garbage can. The assault was witnessed by an office, which alerted floor control.

The video of an inmate kicking and punching Jayshawn Boyd in the Essex County jail has gone viral.

As shown on video, the attacker continued the assault with a multi-gallon beverage dispenser, water cooler, microwave, push broom, deck brush, and garbage can.

The suspects then assaulted Boyd with a broom, stomping, punching, and dumping a mop bucket full of cleaning solution on him for the duration of the two-minute assault. The horrifying act was filmed on a surveillance camera, according to the criminal complaint.

According to NJ, Jayshawn Boyd was detained for two different fights with his family. The use of a kitchen knife was involved in one of the conflicts. He was first moved from Essex County Jail to Ann Klein, a psychiatric facility.

Jayshawn was eventually discharged from the mental institution. He was about to enter a plea to criminal mischief and unlawful weapon possession. Boyd was arrested on a bench warrant after failing to appear at his sentencing. He was then transferred to Essex Country Prison once more. According to Jayshawn’s lawyer, the authorities have placed him in a hazardous facility within the jail.

At Essex Country Correctional Facility, Jayshawn Boyd was assaulted by seven irate inmates. The reason for the fight l is unknown, but they all ganged up on him and battered him mercilessly.

Byad Lockett, Darryl Watson, Isaad Jackson, Tyshon Armour, Henry Asencio, Jaquil Anderson, and Maurice Hutchins fought Boyd in the ring. Lockett and Watson, for instance, were charged with homicide after hitting him with heavy items on his head.
