A four-time Olympic gold winner in swimming, Jason Edward Lezak (born November 12, 1975) represents the United States in international competition. He formerly competed for the Irvine Novaquatics. After graduating from Irvine High School in 1994, he went on to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1999.

 He participates in swimming with the Rose Bowl Aquatics swim club. Lezak is a freestyle specialist who specialises in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle events. The 400m freestyle and 400m medley relays are among his other long-course world records. He also held the American record in the 100-meter freestyle before retiring from swimming.

 Lezak is one of the top swimmers who does not have a personal coach, making him one of the few exceptions. Despite this, Lezak loves team sports, and fellow American Gary Hall, Jr. referred to Lezak as a “professional relay swimmer” before their clash in the 100-meter freestyle at the 2004 Olympic Trials.
