After attending Evanston Township High School, Jason went on to Southern Illinois University (SIU) Jason knew that he wanted to work as a radio host at just 11 years old. As a child, his parents listened to talk radio — sports, societal and political — and he fell in love with how the hosts could reach their listeners.
When he was a teenager, Goff grew more inclined to the idea of a sports radio host. Although he was not an athlete himself, he was very much into the numbers aspect of sports — basketball, and football especially. He was an avid caller at The Score radio show, so much so that he became known as “Jason from Evanston.” He even went as far as to ask the station for an internship but was told they only hired interns with college credits.
After a year at college, he grew eager to begin his career and again asked The Score for an internship; this time they said yes and he left SIU to begin working. After his internship at The Score radio, Jason was hired full time in 2000. He eventually landed a producing gig for Terry Boers and Dan Bernstein’s afternoon show, often joining them on the air for discussion.
After 12 years with The Score, Jason moved to Atlanta to be an evening host on WZGC FM sports radio. At the same time, he began hosting shows on SiriusXM satellite radio. 2017, Terry Boers retired, and Jason took over the afternoon spot with Dan Bernstein. October 2018, Jason joined the newly-launched Big Ten Radio on SiriusXM — a position that he still holds.

Jason Goff, the former Chicago radio sports-talk personality, has been tapped by NBC Sports Chicago as pregame and postgame host of Chicago Bulls broadcasts.
Goff replaced Mark Schanowski, who is a 13-year veteran of the regional sports network who stepped down as host, however, proceeds as an essential contributor on the Bulls across various platforms.
The announcement was surprising to some considering that Goff was known to be critical at times of Bulls management on Entercom sports/talk WSCR 670-AM during his stint as a co-host, which ended in 2018. The franchise has an ownership interest in NBC Sports Chicago.
