Bjorn Ulvaeus net worth: Bjorn Ulvaeus is a Swedish songwriter, composer, musician, writer and producer who has a net worth of $300 million. Bjorn Ulvaeus is probably most famous for being one of the original founding members of the ABBA. In addition to his time with ABBA, he is also known for being a co-producer of musicals and the film Mama Mia. Bjorn Ulvaeus was born in Gothenburg, Sweden but as a child he moved with his family to Västervik. He studied business and law at Lund University after completing his military service became a member of the Swedish folk-schlager band Hootenanny Singers, also known as the West Bay Singers, who had an enormous following in Scandinavia. While on the road in southern Sweden in 1966, they encountered the Hep Stars, and Ulvaeus quickly became friends with the group’s keyboard player, Benny Andersson. Soon after Ulvaeus and Andersson met, ABBA was born. ABBA went on to be one of the most widely recognized bands in the world. With hits like “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance On Me,” “Waterloo,” and “Fernando,” the band enjoyed over a decade of success and still earn income from their hits being played today. After ABBA, Ulvaeus, together with Andersson, created the musicals Chess, Kristina från Duvemåla (based on The Emigrants novels by Swedish writer Vilhelm Moberg), and Mamma Mia! (based on ABBA songs). In 1971, Ulvaeus married fellow ABBA bandmate, Agnetha Fältskog and the marriage resulted in two children: Linda Elin Ulvaeus and Peter Christian Ulvaeus. In July 1980, Bjorn and Agnetha divorced, although they both agreed to remain in ABBA. Ulvaeus then married music journalist Lena Kallersjo on 6 January 1981. Kallersjo and Ulvaeus had two daughters, Emma and Anna. Ulvaeus and Kallersjo currently live in Stockholm.
