Davis was born in Kingsland, Georgia on November 16, 1995 to John and Amy Davis. He is the only child of his parents and was brought up in a very decent and disciplined household under the watchful eyes of his mother.

Her dad was in the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and wasn’t always there, he had her mother raised. His mum worked as a computer coder in the medical industry but despite working long hours, Davis said she was always there for him, teaching him how to be respectful to people, handle some difficult and difficult situations in an orderly manner. , and he is truly grateful to him.

After high school, Jarrad was craving a Georgia offer, after his high school teammates – quarterback Brice Ramsey and running back JJ Green both got offers from Georgia, when it wasn’t happening, he committed to Auburn University. But in late 2012, Auburn coach Gene Chizik was fired and the new coach who replaced him made it clear he was lukewarm when recruiting Jarrad Davis.

Davis’ coach Jeff Herron then called then-Florida coach Will Muschamp asking him to reopen Davis’ recruiting, he did and Davis received a scholarship after he (Will Muschamp) was certain that one of his linebacker commitments would be an unqualified one, so Davis changed his commitment to the University of Florida.

As a rookie, he played in all 12 of the team’s season games recording one start and 24 tackles. The following season (2014) he only played nine games due to a knee injury, he finished his second season with 23 tackles. And when Randy Shannon came on as assistant head coach of the Florida Gators in 2015, he made Davis the team’s starting middle linebacker and this season he’s started 12 of 14 games, recording 98 tackles with 3.5 sacks and an interception.

He was even more determined to set a much more endearing record next season, unfortunately his senior season was hampered by a sprained ankle which left him on the bench. He evolved through the injury to make seven tackles in a game against Georgia, unfortunately he couldn’t sustain that in his next game against Arkansas the injury resurfaced and kept him benched in the next three games.
