Janet Evanovich Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography

In 1987, Evanovich released “Hero At Large” under the pen name Steffie Hall, and the following year she began writing under her own name, continuing to create category romances. She developed a lot of appealing characters, and her work’s comedy began to catch people’s attention. She discovered she wanted to write action sequences rather than sex scenes after publishing approximately 12 novels, but her editors didn’t like the route she wanted to go, so she took a pause to think about what she wanted to write.

This prompted her to switch to romantic adventure books, and the Stephanie Plum series was born. Her stories would be presented in the first person, with a main character and a supporting cast of people that revolved around him. She decided that her protagonist would be a bounty hunter after seeing the film “Midnight Run,” which would give her character greater freedom. She published “One for the Money” in 1994, which received positive reviews. Stephanie Plum’s character was barely competent at her job, which made her popular. She kept writing Plum’s escapades, and her sixth novel, “Hot Six,” was the first of hers to hit the top of the New York Times Best Seller List. Her net worth began to rise dramatically, and since then, all of her Plum books have topped the bestseller lists. She also sold the film rights to “One for the Money,” which featured Katherine Heigl and was released in 2012. Her most recent Plum book is due out in late 2017.
