Jamie Vardy is an English professional footballer who plays for the Leicester City of the Premier League.

His senior career began with Stocksbridge Park Steels after Sheffield Wednesday released him. He then went on to play for a handful of clubs including, FC Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town. 

Signed with Leicester in May 2012 for about $1.3 million, he helped the team win the Premier League title in 2014. He was the PL Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year in 2015-16.

Vardy put on a brilliant goal-scoring show against Watford, netting two in the first half. His performance, along with fellow teammate, James Maddison, was phenomenal. Jamie Carragher even believes his transfer to City to be one of the best transfers in football history.

Jamie Vardy Parents: Are They Still Married?

Jamie Vardy’s parents are Lisa Vardy and Richard Gill. His stepdad is Phil Vardy.

His biological father only found about him five months before his wedding on 25 May 2016. 

As far as his biological parents are concerned, they don’t seem to be together. However, his mother and stepdad are probably still married. There isn’t much insisting on the separation. 

Nonetheless, Jamie’s parents didn’t attend his wedding held at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire due to some problems. A 2016 article wrote that he hadn’t visited his parents for 18 months, and they didn’t receive an invitation. Further, his grandparents also didn’t attend.

Nonetheless, his mom and dad said they were happy for their son’s success, although they couldn’t attend the wedding ceremony.
