Jamie Oleksiak, who holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States, participated for the United States in the 2009 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and placed fourth, but then decided to represent Canada abroad.
On October 28, Oleksiak scored his first goal in the NHL during the opening frame of a 4-3 overtime defeat to the St. Louis Blues.
He only managed four points in 21 games, though, and was sent to the Texas Stars on December 11 due to his inability to keep up his production.
Before getting called up to the NHL on December 13 he had two shots on goal in one game with the Texas Stars.
Before going back to the AHL on December 23, he participated in one more game for the Dallas Stars.
