Jamie Faith, an American Airlines manager, was shot and killed outside his Dallas, Texas, house on October 9, 2020, as he and his wife, Jennifer, went for a morning stroll with their dog, Maggie.
Jennifer and Jamie had met on a blind date fifteen years prior to that awful day. According to Jamie’s pals, Theresa and Ross Jensen, the two became inseparable soon after.
In 2012, the couple married in Las Vegas. Jennifer’s daughter from her first marriage was also welcomed, adored, and formally adopted by Jamie. Jamie’s family moved from Arizona to the Dallas area, where he was murdered in 2017.

As he left his house with Jennifer and their dog Maggie, Jamie’s front door security camera captured the chilling image. It was taken just moments before Jamie was fatally shot.
Other cameras caught photos of the assailant’s getaway truck speeding away from the crime site.
Meanwhile, Ms. Faith stated that she filed a claim with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company about a month after her husband died, seeking around $629,000 in death benefits Mr. Faith had via his work.
She kept her boyfriend, Mr. Lopez, up to date on the claim’s progress on a regular basis. The couple discussed using the money to apply for a house in her name in Tennessee in text exchanges.
Ms. Faith confessed in her guilty papers that she reached out to Mr. Lopez in January 2021, shortly after she was requested to come in for questioning by investigators to coordinate their cover stories.

Prosecutors charged Jamie Faith, 49, with obstruction of justice in February 2021. They added a charge of using interstate commerce in the commission of murder-for-hire in September 2021, which carries a potential death penalty.
On Monday morning, Ms. Faith pleaded guilty to the allegation of murder-for-hire in front of U.S. District Judge Jane J. Boyle.
Mr. Lopez, whom Ms. Faith referred to as her “one and only love,” had suffered a severe brain injury while serving in the US Army in Iraq, leaving him incapacitated, according to Ms. Faith.
She sent Mr. Lopez money and presents both before and after the murder, and she even gave him two credit cards, which she paid off with the earnings of a “Support Jennifer Faith” GoFundMe account set up in the aftermath of her husband’s death.

Jennifer Faith admitted in court papers that her boyfriend, Darrin Ruben Lopez, 49, shot and killed her husband, American Airlines technology director Jamie Faith, in front of his Oak Cliff house on Oct. 9, 2020.
Prosecutors agreed to remove the obstruction allegation and propose a life sentence in exchange for her plea. The judge will make the final decision on sentencing.
Mr. Lopez was charged with murder by the state and a firearms offense by the feds.
Both charges have been dismissed after he entered a not guilty plea. He is deemed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, as do all defendants.
She further testified that, before the murder, she utilized two fraudulent email accounts to communicate with Mr. Lopez, posing as her own husband and a friend, in order to deceive Mr. Lopez into believing that her spouse was physically and sexually abusing her.
