The CW hit series One Tree Hill was a favorite of millions and while it’s long gone, the stars it gave us remain dear to our hearts. One of them is James Lafferty, who plays Nathan Scott, the half-brother of Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and the rebellious son of Dan Scott who shone in Tree Hill as a jockey, even if scathingly .

James Lafferty Biography – Age
Jamie was born as James Martin Lafferty on July 25, 1985, the son of Angelica and Jeffrey Lafferty. His father ran a local construction business, which was the main source of support for James and his younger brother, Stuart Lafferty.
James and his brother attended Hemet High School where they both actively played for the college basketball team, the Bulldogs. Considering he won a Most Valuable Player award in high school and his character on OTH played Spalding’s ball well, one would wonder why Lafferty didn’t act to turn pro. Well, fate had other plans in mind for him.
Nathan, sorry, James’s mother encouraged him and his younger brother to become an actor. Thankfully, OTH received rave reviews and plenty of viewers making the Lafferty show a breakthrough. He was complimented for his ability to adapt to the show’s character change. OTH aired for 9 solid seasons and ended in 2012. His role in Nathan Scott earned him 4 nominations for the Teen Choice Award.
James was pretty inactive during his breaks from OTH only scoring a few more gigs. After the curtains closed on OTH, Lafferty had recurring roles on Crisis (2014) and Underground (2016). He has also become more active in film, appearing as the lead in the independent film Waffle Street (2015), as well as 2017 ‘s Small Town Crime
Besides acting, James Lafferty is also a director and producer. He directed 4 episodes of OTH. He has also directed his own films, including the short Hours Before and the TV movie, Everyone is doing well (2015). Lafferty directed a few episodes of the television series The Royals which is E!
