State District Judge Graham Quisenberry granted prosecutors’ request for Pope to serve the terms consecutively, totaling 4,060 years.
According to the Parker County District Attorney’s Office, he will be eligible for parole in 3209. The judge’s decision to stack the punishments “overwhelmed” the public.

The Weatherford Democrat reported in its Wednesday online edition that Pope’s defense counsel told jurors in closing arguments that the victims could not comprehend what had happened.
During the trial’s sentencing phase, a US Secret Service agent testified that he discovered more than 200 photographs of child porn while investigating Pope’s private computer.
