J Brooks Siblings and Parents on Grown and Gospel

J Brooks siblings are Jessica, Tasha Page Lockhart, Latia Page, and Sateara Page Mitchell. His parents are Bishop Michael Brooks and Lisa Page Brooks.

Actor, producer, and songwriter Brooks is currently in the limelight following his appearance in WeTV’s all-new docuseries Grown & Gospel, which premiered on March 16, 2023.

The six one-hour episodes focus on six career-driven men and women who have been friends since, well, forever. These talents are the kids of famous parents in music and religious circles.

Grown & Gosper serves as an ultra-dramatic reality television show. The real-life drama will be intense, dark secrets will be revealed, and hearts will break as the rising stars search for success in Detroit.

The casts of the series include Tasha Page Lockhart, Nikkia Cole Beach, Elijah Connor, BreeAnn Hammond, and Shana Wilson Williams.

Described as “nepo babies,” these emerging childhood friends try to establish themselves in the music scene while hustling to step out of the shadows of their well-known parents.

J Brooks And Tasha Page Lockhart Are Step Siblings

J Brooks stepsister Tasha Lockhart appears alongside him in WeTV’s Grown & Gospel. He has one biological sister, Jessica, and three stepsiblings.

Besides Lockhart, his other two stepsisters are Latia Page and Sateara, who are both younger than Lockhart.

Brooks has one blood sister

Jessica is the only blood sister of Grammy-nominated producer Brooks. Unlike her famous brother, she prefers to stay away from the limelight and live a private life.

On October 19, 2017, Brooks’ father shared a loving childhood picture of Jay and Jessica on his Instagram. The beautiful photo saw the little nuggets posing for the camera.

He captioned the post, “Ok Throwback Thursday – Jessica & Jay maybe ages 3 & 4.” He added how hard it was to believe his kids were once babies. “Love y’all,” he concluded.

Sateara adored the posts by sharing a face with heart eyes emoji in the comment section. Brooks’ stepmom also mentioned the kids in the comment.

He has three step sisters

Tasha is the oldest of his three-step sisters. She is a well-known Christian R&B and urban contemporary gospel singer and musician.

She is the winner of BET’s Sunday Best Season 6, a gospel singing competition. She started her musical career by becoming a part of her mom, Lisa Page Brooks’, gospel group, Witness.

Lockhart commenced her solo career by releasing Here Right Now by Fo Yo Soul Recordings and RCA Records in 2014.

On August 5, 2014, she released her debut studio album, Here Right Now, which charted at No. 87 on The Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the Top Gospel Albums chart.

She married Clifton James Lockhart in July 2006. She gave birth to her first child, son Ronald Hughes, in 2001. In 2008, she welcomed her second son, Clifton James Lockhart, II.

The pair separated in 2017 and divorced in 2018. On June 8, 2019, she married T. Vernon in Detroit, Michigan.

Lockhart’s younger sister, Latia is a blissfully married woman and has one daughter. She resides in Detroit with her family.

Sateara, the youngest one, is an entrepreneur, author, singer, and songwriter. She is married to Aaron Mitchell.
