Izak (also written as Isaac) Daniel Buys – A right-handed batsman but a left-arm, fast-medium bowler, Izak Buys was born in Somerset East, Cape Colony, South Africa on 4 February 1895. However, the date of his death is unknown and therefore no obituary appeared within the covers of Wisden for him. Playing for Western Province, his first-class career was short, less than three years spanning the period 1921/22 to 1924/25, but he also managed one Test for his country. His batting was poor – in nineteen visits to the crease in his twelve matches, he never once attained double figures – but his bowling was useful for the time. Three times he took five wickets in an innings, once per season from 1921/22 to 1923/24, his best being 6 for 49 at Johannesburg in a Currie Cup match against Border in December 1923. As well as three catches in Border’s first innings, Buys took a further three wickets in their second, this being the closest he came to a 10-wicket haul in a match. His sole Test was the first of the series, played at Johannesburg, on England’s 1922/23 tour. He scored 0 and 4 not out with the bat and failed to take a wicket with the ball.

Polys Haji-Ioannou Net Worth: Polys Haji-Ioannou is a British businessman who has a net worth of $1.7 billion. The brother of EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Polys rose to billionaire rankings this year on the back of EasyJet’s rising shares. He still holds an 11% share in the budget airline, even though he, his brother Stelios and their sister Clelia were obliged to sell 200,000 shares each. What’s interesting is that the stock’s value increased 73% from 2013 to 2014 despite a conflict between Stelios and management executives regarding the acquisition of a new aircraft. To get a clearer picture of EasyJet, it’s based at London Luton Airport and is regarded as the UK’s largest airline by number of passengers carried. The airline operates both on national and international level on over 600 routes in 32 countries. The above aside, Polys Haji-Ioannou is also some kind of a shipping magnate, managing oil transport group Polyer Tankers while serving as CEO and Chairman of publicly-traded Safe Bulkers, almost half of which he owns.
