Izabella Scorupco, a Polish-born Swedish actress, singer, and model, rose to prominence in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye as Natalya Simonova, the Bond girl. Scorupco was a model who appeared on the cover of Vogue in addition to her acting career.
Director Staffan Hildebrand noticed her and cast her in the 1987 film Inn kan älska som vi (“Nobody can love like us”). Scorupco also had a brief but successful pop singing career in the early 1990s, with her 1991 album IZA going gold in Sweden. Her cover of “Shame, Shame, Shame” in 1992 was a hit in various European nations.
Scorupco returned to singing in 2011, co-writing the song Jag Har Dig Nu with Swedish musician Peter Jöback and performing in the music video. She was also in Jöback’s short film La vie, amour, death.
Scorupco hosted the first season of Sweden’s Next Top Model in the spring of 2012 but did not return for a second season. She landed the lead part in the Swedish romantic comedy film Micke & Veronica in 2013, which was released on December 25, 2014.
