In the wake of the tragic passing of the late singer, Mohbad, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has firmly stated that a DNA test is not a crucial component of seeking justice for the deceased artist.
Iyabo Ojo addressed the persistent calls for a DNA test regarding Mohbad’s son, Liam, during a live session on Instagram. Despite the ongoing speculation and demands, the actress made it clear that she is not personally invested in determining the child’s biological father.
While actively advocating for the unveiling of those responsible for Mohbad’s untimely demise, Iyabo Ojo dismissed the notion of a paternity test, deeming it a significant distraction from the pursuit of justice.
“DNA was not part of our justice for Mohbad, so it doesn’t really concern us. But his father came out to say he wants DNA because that was one of the distractions and narratives they brought out, and he wants them to do it since they want to do it,” explained Iyabo Ojo during the Instagram live session.
The actress emphasized that, although Mohbad’s father expressed the desire for a DNA test and insisted on its necessity, the matter is essentially a family affair and not directly related to the quest for justice for Mohbad.
DAILY POST has previously reported on James Aloba, the late singer’s father, who unequivocally stated the need for a DNA test. Aloba emphasized that the test should be conducted in his presence, further adding to the complexity of the situation.
As the discussions surrounding Mohbad’s demise continue, Iyabo Ojo’s stance reinforces the focus on the larger pursuit of justice rather than engaging in familial matters such as a DNA test. The unfolding developments in this case are sure to capture the ongoing attention of both fans and the wider public.
