Yes, Wendy Williams is sick and is dealing with an ongoing health crisis currently.
She was expected to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show from September 2021. However, she tested positive for COVID-19.
On September 15, the show’s verified Instagram account announced Wendy was in quarantine to recover from the virus and the show will begin from October 4.
She was taken to the hospital and for a mental health evaluation.
But, Williams’s health did not get better even after recovering from the virus. On October 13, the show’s team made another announcement and revealed she was dealing with complications from Grave’s disease and thyroid.
As a result, the show has hired guest hosts and would resume from October 18.
Actor Leah Remini will lead the show the week of October 19, Whitney Cummings will host the show the week of October 25, and Sherri Shepherd will host the show from November 1, as per People.
