Gretchel Soltones broke into tears when she reunited with her long-lost mother after 13 long years.
The surprise event occurred at The Arena in San Juan. Marilyn Mollena, her mother, despite being nervous and anxious about Soltone’s reaction, still decided to meet her daughter.
Thankfully, Gretchel was in tears and tightly hugged her mother. Mollena later explained how she first learned about her daughter’s whereabouts through a former military man named Vivencio Rigos, who updated the world.
She happened to switch to the sports page only to spot her daughter’s name. When Soltones was in third grade, Marilyn divorced Gretcel’s father; Marvin left them in Catmon, Cebu.
Gretchel Soltones was born on September 9, 1995. She is currently 25 years old, born and raised in Catmon, Cebu, Philippines.
As for Soltones height, she stands 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 in meters) and weighs approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Soltones participated in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) women’s volleyball tournament for the San Sebastian Lady Stags. They were named Most Valuable Player in NCAA Seasons 90, 91, and 92 and First Best Outside Spiker in Season 92.
Likewise, Soltones also competed in the Shakey’s V-League for the PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters and the Bali Pure Purest Water Defenders. She was named conference MVP during the 13th Season Open Conference.
