Is Suzanne Malveaux (CNN) Married Karine Jean-Pierre? Wiki

Suzanne Malveaux is a well-known American journalist, who has an impressive resume in television. She has worked for various news organizations and has taken her work all over the globe. She was a White House correspondent and is now a famous co-anchor for the CNN international news program “Around the World”, alongside Michael Holmes. For many years, rumors of Malveaux being gay circulated in the news, but her camp never confirmed it until she adopted an infant girl, which revealed her long-time relationship with her partner Karine Jean-Pierre.

Karine consequently published a biographical book and dedicated it to Malveaux and their daughter, which is the only time either of the two openly admitted to their relationship – although they didn’t try to keep their relationship a secret, they also didn’t speak about it in public.

Early Life – Birth, and Family

Suzanne was born on 4 December 1966 in Lansing, Michigan USA, of African, French and Spanish descent. She was born into a Louisiana Creole originally based in New Orleans. Her Father is Floyd Joseph Malveaux, who is a doctor and dean of Howard University’s College of Medicine, and the founder of the National Human Genome Center of the University.

He is currently the executive director of the Merck Childhood Asthma Network. Her mother was Myrna Maria Ruiz, a teacher now deceased.

Suzanne has an identical twin – Suzette M. Malveaux – who is a professor at the Columbus School of Law, and two other siblings, Courtney M. Malveaux and Gregory F. Malveaux. All her siblings are accomplished and successful in their fields – Courtney was a former Assistant Attorney General for Virginia, and former chairman of the Richmond Republican Committee.

She is currently the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry of the state of Virginia. Gregory, on the other hand, works at Montgomery College as an Associate Professor of English. Suzanne is also related to Julianne Malveaux, a renowned columnist and former president of Bennett College.

Education

Suzanne and her family lived in New Orleans earlier in her life, and eventually moved to Howard County, Maryland, where she attended Centennial High School in Ellicott City, and matriculated in 1984.

She took BA in Sociology at Harvard College and graduated Cum Laude, and proceeded to get her master’s degree in Broadcasting from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in 1991. She was made an honorary member of the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha.

Career

Suzanne started as a reporter for the New England Cable News in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992, until 1996 when she moved to work as a reporter for WRC-TV, an NBC affiliate channel covering local and crime news in Washington, DC.

In 1999 she was recruited by host Tim Russert to join NBC News, where she worked as a reporter for three years, during which time she was assigned as a Pentagon Correspondent. She also worked as White House correspondent, covering controversial news like Bill Clinton’s oval office affair, his subsequent impeachment, the 2000 Presidential Election, the 9/11 attacks, and many others. Suzanne has made significant leaps in her career, working as a substitute anchor for Wolf Blitzer’s show on CNN – “The Situation Room.”

She also became the co-anchor of the popular CNN program “Around the World,” and hosted “The Root 100,” an eight-part series on the Aspire TV Network.

Lesbian Relationship, Life Partner, and Daughter

There is no information about the span of her relationship with Karine or how they met, though it’s safe to assume that they met within the political news circle. Karine is a political commentator, activist, campaign organizer, and expert on public affairs.

The couple adopted their daughter, Soleil Malveaux Jean-Pierre, in 2014. Wolf Blitzer announced the adoption on his show on 3 June 2014. It was Wolf Blitzer who announced the adoption on 3 June 2014.

The two are very active in both of their careers, while raising their daughter together. There are no records that show the two have married, although they have been living together for some time. Their daughter, Soleil, is now almost six years old and is apparently growing up to be a beautiful, strong, and smart girl just like her parents.

Net Worth

Suzanne’s net worth is estimated to be over $2 million, with an annual salary reputedly over $100,000 as of early 2020.

Physical Characteristics

Suzanne has blonde hair, blue eyes. She stands at 5ft 6ins (1.68m) and weighs around 128lbs (58kgs). At 53, her photographs show that she is still very fit and young-looking.
