Franklin Delano Floyd is a well-known criminal, murderer, rapist, and death row inmate facing a life sentence on the charges of murder and kidnapping.
Delano is one of the biggest criminals in the US who started committing crimes when he was just 16 years old.
Floyd broke into a department store at sixteen to steal a gun. Police responded promptly to a burglar alarm, sparking a gunfight in which Floyd was wounded in the stomach. He survived after emergency surgery. He was transferred to a youth facility for a year after he recovered.
He was then accused of kidnapping a four-year-old girl from a nearby bowling alley and sexually abusing her in the woods. Floyd was found guilty of kidnapping and child abuse and sentenced to 10 to 20 years in the Georgia State Prison at Reidsville.
In November, he was sent to Milledgeville State Hospital for a mental evaluation.

Franklin was born in Georgio and was the youngest of the five children of Thomas and Floyd. Floyd’s father, a cotton mill worker and heavy drinker, died from renal and liver disease shortly after his first birthday in 1944, at 32.
His mother, a widow at 29, struggled to make ends meet on her own, so she and her children shared a modest apartment with her parents. After her parents couldn’t afford Franklin and his cousins, they were sent to the Baptist Children’s home, where Delano was severely bullied and used to get brutal punishment by the staff.

Floyd, now 72, is serving a life sentence on death row in Florida after fatally shooting exotic dancer Cheryl Commesso in 1989.
He got convicted in 2002 after a landscaping worker discovered her skull near a Florida freeway in 1995. In one case, the evidence against him included images of the dancer being pummeled.
Delano had hidden the images on top of the petrol tank of the pickup truck he allegedly stole from the principal of an Oklahoma primary school. In 1995, the photos were discovered by a body shop owner in Kansas.

Kidnapping Of Michael Anthony Hughes
Michael Anthony Hughes was just six years old when Franklin Delano kidnaped him.
Floyd stormed into the school at gunpoint and compelled Principal James Davis to escort him to Michael’s classroom. Floyd then recruited Michael and Davis to get inside his pickup vehicle.
Floyd dragged Davis from the truck into the woods, tied him to a tree, and drove away with Michael. The principal has recovered after surviving the kidnapping.
Delano was captured in Louisville, Kentucky, two months later. Michael was not with him and has yet to be spotted.
Authorities have received different information regarding Michael’s whereabouts. Some witness testimony reveals Floyd’s claimed confessions about Michael’s killing.
Floyd eventually confessed to two FBI agents what had long been suspected. Floyd said he murdered Michael on the same day of the kidnapping.
