The report says Sara Evans and Jay Barker are still married to each other but are living separately. The divorce rumors of the couple are flying around the Internet as Jay Barker got arrested with a domestic violence charge.
According to the Davidson Country’s Sheriff’s Office Website, he was booked into a Nashville country jail on early Saturday morning. He was under custody with the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
As it is domestic violence, he was on hold for 12-hours and a bond. Barker is bailed out after posting a bond of $10,000 on Saturday night. The Associating Press is trying to reach to Barker to detail the case.
The document reads Evans and her friends were in a vehicle leaving a party when Barker allegedly reversed his car. He did it at a high rate of speed attempting to hit them but missed.
As soon as the Police arrived at the scene they issued an arrest warrant against the former quarterback at around 4:30 am. Though there are not many details about the arrest, his court date is on March 22.
The witnesses also detailed that Barker tried to hit Evans and her friends. Barker has stayed silent about the matter and hasn’t disclosed if he has an attorney who could comment.
