Is Ryan Garcia undefeated?

Ryan ”The Flash ” Garcia(22-0-0) is still undefeated after getting past Emmanuel ”Game Boy” Tagoe(32-2-0) by unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Two judges scored the fight 119-108 and the third judge gave it a score 119-109, obviously all in favor of Garcia. Both boxers had not been in the ring in over a year, with Garcia’s last fight being in January 2021 and Tagoe’s most recent bout coming in November 2020.

The rust was evident in both fighters, but Garcia started off quickly and walked down Tagoe quickly and walked down Tagoe for the entire 12 rounds, marking this as the first time The Flash goes the distance.

Garcia shrank the ring down in the first round, keeping Tagoe on his heels while delivering body blows. In the second round, Garcia kept walking Tagoe backward, but the Ghanaian finally started counter-punching. Game Boy fell down after getting caught by Garcia, but there was little damage to the Ghanaian.

Round three saw both fighters exchange a few punches, but Tagoe seemed in survival mode as Garcia’s lightning speed and accuracy kept him backed up against the ropes. Garcia was calm, cool, and collected as he started to hunt the knockout punch
