Jonathan was arrested on suspicion of harassment the following day of their separation. The authorities found out Wignall had planted a tracking device in Ruth’s vehicle and it was connected to his phone and laptop through an app. 

Ruth also revealed her ex-husband pushed her very hard in front of her family members which resulted in a fractured rib according to her Wikipedia profile. 

Later Wignall was charged with coercive and controlling behavior and stalking against Dodsworth over a nine-year period, he was sentenced to three years in prison and a restraining order from contacting Dodsworth.

Ruth Dodsworth is currently dating her new partner in 2021 according to Daily Mail. 

She spoke about her new relationship in public and said she is re-learning life and making her own decision. 

According to Wales Online, she said, “I am healing, I am having to re-learn living. Practical things like wearing what I want. That might sound so trivial to everyone else, but for so long I haven’t been able to make those decisions.”

She added “Re-learning how to have a relationship with another man has just been the loveliest thing, but I have had to re-learn behaviors. I don’t have to hide my phone. I don’t have to say where I am every single minute of every day. These are the things I am having to re-learn, but I am doing it.”

However, she has not revealed the name of her new partner as of now and has not said much about their relationship either. Nonetheless, the television presenter has found love once again.
