P-22 is a male mountain lion that lives in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. P-22 is believed to have been born in the Santa Monica Mountains, located west of Los Angeles.
As a predator, P-22’s diet consists primarily of other animals, including deer, rabbits, and other small mammals.
P-22 has gained fame due to his ability to thrive in an urban environment, and he has become a symbol of the challenges faced by urban wildlife.
Despite being isolated in the park, P-22 has been successful in breeding, and his offspring have helped to increase the mountain lion population in the Santa Monica Mountains.
P-22 has been the subject of several scientific studies, and researchers have monitored his movements and behaviour to learn more about mountain lions in urban environments.
P-22’s story has also been featured in various media outlets and has helped to educate the public about mountain lions and the challenges they face in urban areas.
