Weather: Is Michael Estime Leaving Fox 2 Detroit?
Meteorologist Michael Estime has declared that he is leaving his hometown station for Fox Weather after two years. Estime, who has been doing the weather on Fox 2 Detroit since 2020, will begin hosting Fox Weather on June 20, according to Adweek.
Estime is ecstatic to have been promoted within the Fox family, and it has always been his ambition to work for a national weather service where he can share his enthusiasm for weather, climate, and the environment.
According to his Fox 2 bio, the Detroit native worked on-air at WKYC in Cleveland before returning home to Motown. Estime is a Central Michigan University graduate.
Michael began his professional broadcasting career in Macon, Georgia, the “Song & Soul Capital of the South.” He worked at WMGT for numerous years as the Morning Meteorologist before being appointed Chief Meteorologist.
The weatherman is also a member of the National Weather Association and an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist of the American Meteorological Society.

Estime will be stationed in New York, and his new position will begin on June 20. In his leisure time, he enjoys contributing to the community, playing the clarinet, and spending time with friends and family, including his mirror-identical twin brother.
