Is Michael Corinthos Leaving General Hospital? Where Is Chad Duell Going

Michael Corinthos’s departure from General Hospital in 2022 has yet to be announced.

He is unlikely to depart the American soap opera soon because it has given him such a tremendous following and fame.

“Just make-belief, currently playing Michael Corinthos on General Hospital on ABC,” Michaels’ Twitter page still states.

The General Hospital actor has given no indication that he intends to advance further in his career. He appears to have a strong bond with the characters of General Hospital, sharing photos of himself with them regularly.

But, for the time being, everything appears to be good since Drew and Chad enjoy a terrific off-screen relationship. However, the two do not appear to get along on-screen.

When General Hospital viewers tuned in on Wednesday, they were ready for a big revelation.

Michael Corinthos, who Chad Duell previously played, was abruptly replaced by Young & the Restless alum Robert Adamson.

Chad, 34, won’t be gone for long, though. According to Soap Opera Digest, Robert, 36, taking over as Michael from Chad is simply a temporary arrangement, and he is only slated to appear in a few episodes.

Chad recently acknowledged that it was difficult for him to get into the show and get along with the cast and crew at first, especially with Chad’s on-screen father, Maurice Benard.

Maurice couldn’t believe someone who had auditioned for a small part as Kristina’s abusive boyfriend Kiefer had thus been cast in place of Drew Garrett as Michael.

The cause for the temporary recast, according to Duell, was due to covid-related issues. He wrote on Twitter, “I’m fine. Next week, I’ll resume filming. Was it connected to Covid? Robert performed a fantastic job.”

In a brief live conversation on Instagram, Duell stated that he was secluded for a while and will return to work next Wednesday. While Duell is preparing to return to work next week, Adamson will fill in as Michael Corinthos for the time being!

Chad Duell recently revealed that he and his ex-wife Courtney Hope are no longer together. Courtney, he says, is a remarkable person in so many ways.

He indicated that the reason for their split is not what most people think and that he hadn’t gone into great depth about it out of respect for his ex-wife.

The General Hospital actor had nothing but good things to say about his ex-girlfriend. Finally, he indicated that he and Courtney were still friendly and that the breakup was consensual.
