Tori MP from Conservative Party in the UK Mark Francois was arrested today on suspicion of indecent assault, sexual assault, rape, and abuse of position.
A Conservative MP, Mark Francois, has been arrested on accusations of rape and other sexual offenses committed over seven years.
“A man was detained on suspicion of indecent assault, sexual assault, rape, misuse of position of trust, and misconduct in a public office,” according to a Metropolitan Police statement.

Tory MP Mark Francois was arrested on rape charges and abuse of position in public office committed between 2002 and 2009. He Is a conservative MP from the British conservative party.
According to the news published recently on politicshome.com and The Sun, the Met police first learned of the allegations in January 2020 and launched a two-year investigation against him.
The Sun has not mentioned the name of the MP and indicated that ‘the party will not suspend the anonymous MP until the investigation by the Central Specialist Crime Unit is completed.’
Meanwhile, the government Whips office issued the statement, “While an investigation is underway, the Chief Whip has requested that the MP in question not attend the Parliamentary Estate. We will not make any more comments until the investigation is completed.”
MP’s whip is awaiting the Metropolitan Police investigation to be completed so that they can decide on whether he will be suspended.

The Conservative whips’ office has not identified the identity of the arrested MP to safeguard the privacy of victims, but many newspapers have revealed the name as Mark Francois.
According to Mark Francois’s Wikipedia, he was married to Karen Thomas at Langdon Hills, Basildon, in June 2000. However, the marriage turned in divorced in 2006.
Mark Francois net worth is estimated at $1 million. He has served as the Conservative Party’s Member of Parliament (MP) for Rayleigh and Wickford, formerly Rayleigh.
Francois was Vice-Chamberlain for Household from 2010 to 2012 and a Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence from 2012 to 2013.
