Is Manpreet Leaving Emmerdale? Death? Spoilers

Looking at the episode that aired on 28 December 2021, it seems like Manpreet is on the verge of leaving Emmerdale.

In the latest episode, her sister, Meena, injected her with a hypodermic needle, collapsing her. With that, her death seems imminent.

Before that, Manpreet woke up, remembering everything about her sister’s killer past. On Christmas Day, she confronted her sister, but a blast at the pub injured her.

The 27 December episode showed battered and bruised Meena in the hospital. She was suspiciously watching Charles, who was praying for a miracle at the bedside of her sister. Manpreet’s former lover gives out that the patient had woken up.

After that, Meena, full of rage, threatens to kill her unconscious sister. She then pulls a hypodermic needle to silence her forever, but Manpreet wakes up and acts as if she hadn’t regained memories of the events before the explosion. This performance saves her life.

However, that safety didn’t last long as the Tuesday episode showed Meena as her sister’s carer in their home. Manpreet made a big mistake as she mentioned the Christmas present that her sister had ordered when trying to talk her into giving back her phone.

This incident led Meena to realize the return of Manpreet’s memory and ask her what else could she remember. After that, she gave sleeping pills to her sister, intending to knock her out. However, she only pretended to swallow and later spat it out as her evil sister took the dog, Princess, for a walk.

She then grabs the mobile phone on the table, only to find out it was her sibling’s trap. Angry Meena injects a syringe and sends Manpreet collapsing on the floor.

So, will we finally see the death of Manpreet Sharma? or Aiesha rescue her. The latest episode showed Manpreet’s daughter, who left the village in 2019. She finds Meena suspicious and wanting to search for her mother could make a possible return to Emmerdale.

Manpreet AKA Rebecca Sarker Character Development

Manpreet, aka Rebecca Sarker, has had quite a character development in the Emmerdale series.

In the beginning, she was slightly jealous of her spoilt younger sister, Meena, as she had to work for everything she got. Later, she married Dennis. However, bored of her marriage, she started an affair with Charles Anderson using a different alias, Saira. They even planned an expensive wedding that didn’t come to fruition.

After that, Manpreet ended up divorcing Dennis as she discovered him cheating. As a result, she estranged from her sister and became engrossed in a shopping addiction, incurring large sums of debt.

Afterward, she got married to Rishi Sharma. And now, her villainous sister is behind her life. Quite a character development, isn’t it?
