Is Lucy Coe aka Lynn Herring Leaving General Hospital?

Although it has not yet been determined if Lucy Coe will die on General Hospital, forthcoming spoilers indicate that her murder will set the stage for the upcoming drama.

Due to her acceptance of Victor’s invitation to join him on a midnight cruise, Lucy is in danger at the docks. He and Johann Bauer (Max Decker) heard everything, and she is unaware that the diamond necklace he gave her contains a bug.

She recently got into a heated confrontation with Anna at Anna’s house over her refusal to quit watching Victor. She had previously informed her and Valentin that Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) was a plant.

She tells them no, and attempts to get them to back off as she spots someone approaching her with obviously sinister intentions.

According to the spoilers, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is trying to learn what happened to her buddy. Anna will look for information regarding the shooting during the upcoming week.

Additionally, spoilers state that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will have “cause to celebrate” in an upcoming episode (airing on Monday, October 24). More GH teasers imply that Lucy will serve as a pawn in Victor’s larger scheme to kill Anna.

What Happened To Lucy Coe?

It wouldn’t be a General Hospital episode without the customary amount of scandal and mystery.

The final scene of the last current episode, aired on October 18, included Lucy Coe and a shooter. The assailant shoots Lucy in the stomach before continuing to fire before we learn more.

Even though there are various reasons, Lucy’s G.H. demise isn’t imminent just yet. Keep in mind that Lynn Herring returns for story arcs before departing once more.

In light of recent developments in Port Charles, Anna, Lucy, and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have collaborated on a scheme to capture Victor. On the other hand, Anna believed that Lucy had gotten involved and kept trying to get her buddy out of the scheme.

There are rumors circulating that Lucy was shot on Victor’s orders by Johann Bauer (Max Decker). The fact that Johann entered Anna’s home and took her gun suggests that he and Victor may be planning to blame Anna for the attack.

The ideal approach for Victor to get Anna out of his way would be to blame her for the (for the time being, attempted) murder of Lucy Coe.

Following the suspenseful cliffhanger, “Lucy Coe” became popular on U.S. Twitter. Many people expressed their opinions about the episode’s conclusion on social media.

While the episode was airing, Lynn responded to some of the Twitter audience’s remarks. Lucy-related tweets that Herring liked imply that she doesn’t want the character to leave our screens anytime soon.

A Peek At Lynn Herring’s Iconic Moments As Lucy Coe In General Hospital

No one, including actress Lynn Herring and executive producer Gloria Monty, had any idea what she would get into when she first appeared on General Hospital on April 11, 1986. They only knew they needed a swift character to advance the plot. But the supporters had other plans.

Let’s start with the librarian issue since people always find it amazing how Lucy went from being a meek librarian to becoming a strong, cunning, and seductive vixen with a thing for Kevins. But in reality, she was always that way.

To start with, Terry, Kevin’s wife, was driven mad by Lucy’s pretense that she was a librarian when in reality, she was not. Terry tried to speak, but we can only assume because of the constant shushing, it’s annoying. Even though Lucy didn’t work with books, she was a decent writer.

She decided to write a tell-all about her time with the sociopathic and recently deceased doctor because, like any business-minded woman, she loves money and wants to make some quick cash.

And after her first encounter with genuine evil, Lucy did make an effort to change a little bit, even if she abandoned the petty act and accepted her vixenish nature.

She did continue her penchant for having affairs with married men, but she never again fell in love with a killer. That seems like a rather important lesson to take away from her experience, if there is only one. Yes, she was associated with gangsters, kidnappers, scam artists, blackmailers, and other trash, but no more murderers!

Evolution To A Strong Character

We’ve learned throughout the years that certain people just tend to bring out the worst in her. And some people, like Kevin Collins, not O’Connor, and Dominique Taub, bring out the best in her. Although Lucy has matured over the years and genuinely has a nice heart, that doesn’t mean she has stopped using force in battle.

Finally, it’s astounding how Herring gave Lucy such life from her very first electrifying seconds on our screens. She developed into such a formidable figure that only a select few people were chosen to star in the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles!

She was regrettably left in limbo after the show was canceled, but you can’t keep a good girl down, and since 2012, she has returned to Port Charles and is in charge of the revived Nurses Ball.
