Lorraine Pascale is a British television cook and USA Food Network host and former top model, best known for selling almost one million books in the UK alone. Her TV shows are in 70 countries worldwide.
She had her own cooking show on the BBC for several seasons. From 2007-2012 she owned a retail outlet in London selling baked goods called Ella’s Bakehouse named after her daughter.
Pascale has opened her own cupcake shop in Covent Garden. She also studied Culinary Arts at Thames Valley University (now the University of West London) and in March 2012 graduated with a first-class degree.
In 2015, Pascale said she practises Transcendental Meditation to relax after work. Lorraine is also a judge on Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship and Spring Baking Championship as well as a mentor on Worst Bakers in America.
Is Lorraine Pascale Coming Back to Baking Champion?
It’s possible that Lorraine has decided to take her career in a new direction, and unfortunately, her time judging baking competitions may be taking a back seat to that for now.
While that doesn’t mean that we’ll never see Lorraine in the judge’s chair again, her food background doesn’t appear to be her primary focus anymore — but there’s so much more she’s bringing to the table.
For those who didn’t already know, before she flexed her baking muscles and landed herself roles on Food Network, Lorraine was a model for Versace and a mechanic, proving she can really wear many hats. Her self-love and healing brand is simply just another hat Lorraine has decided to wear.
How Did Lorraine Pascale Become Chef?
While modelling kept Pascale busy, she had aspirations to become an entrepreneur and found her niche after taking a diploma cookery course at the prestigious Leith School of Food and Wine in London.
She went on to graduate with first-class honours, Summa Cum Laude in Culinary Arts Management at London University. During her final year of school, Pascale opened her first bakery in Covent Garden selling cakes, tray bakes, and cupcakes, and filmed her first television series Baking Made Easy for BBC 2.
Pascale went on to film Home Cooking Made Easy, How to be a Better Cook for BBC and Cooking Channel’s Fresh, Fast and Easy Food. Her series has aired in over 70 countries worldwide.
While Pascale has become a trusted name in television, she also landed the accolade of being the most successful cookbook author in the UK, releasing six best-selling books. Her debut book, Baking Made Easy, was released in 2011.
Additional titles include Home Cooking Made Easy, Fast, Fresh, and Easy Food, A Lighter Way to Bake, How to be a Better Cook, Everyday Easy, Eating Well Made Easy, Best of Lorraine and“Bake: 125 Show-Stopping Recipes, Made Simple.
Pascale is currently penning her next book, which will focus on overall wellness, health and inspirational topics.
