Recently competed at the women’s swimming event on the 20th November against Princeton and Cornell Universities, the tri-meet saw a new star rise in the name of Lia Thomas but after her sexuality and history was leaked, athletes from the opponent teams have shown their outrage and disappointment.

Born and raised as a man, Lia’s transition into female is not known to the public.
However, her last competition competing as a male was recorded back in November 16, 2019. Lia was known to be a dedicated swimmer prior to her appearance as a female athlete now.
Previously, Lia competed for the school’s men’s team as Will Thomas for 3 years before joining in a women’s team.
Although her transitioned detail is kept hidden, she must have competed 1 year of testosterone suppression treatment to be able to compete in a tournament as per the NCAA rules.
She completed 200m freestyle in a total time of 1:43:47 and for 500m freestyle, she took a total time of 4:35:06.
