Leondra Kruger is an American Judge who is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of California. For the U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, she worked as a clerk and subsequently worked as a professor.
She had also served as an acting Principal Deputy Solicitor General of The United States from 2010 to 2011 and also worked in the Office of Legal Counsel.
California Governor Jerry Brown nominated her to a seat in the Supreme court of California in 2014. She was chosen and sworn in on January 5, 2015.

Leon had attended Harvard University and earned his MD from Boston University in 1951. Her late father flew B-24 aircraft in World War II. Her father was also an athlete and had run in Boston Marathon.
Her mother was also a pediatrician. Her father with his parents had immigrated from Europe to the United States and her mother also immigrated from Jamaica to the United States.

Leondra is married to her husband Brian Huck. Brian is a partner at Jenner and Block inSan Francisco. The wedding date and other information are not yet available.
They have a son and a daughter. Her son even had attended her swearing-in ceremony to the California Supreme Court. About a year later, she gave birth to her daughter, becoming the first member of the court to give birth while serving for it.
The judge is currently 45 years old. If she gets nominated and confirmed then she will not only be the first black woman but also the youngest justice over four years.
