The United Kingdom’s most successful female Olympian, Laura Kenny, announced her pregnancy following the Tokyo Games.
Laura is a well-known professional cyclist who focuses on endurance track cycling. She won gold in the inaugural women’s Madison race at the Tokyo Olympics.
Similarly, she won two junior titles at the 2009 and 2010 British National Track Championships. At the latter, she finished third in the individual pursuit to earn a spot on the team pursuit squad for the 2010 European Track Championships at 18.
Kenny will compete for England in the team pursuit, scratch race, and points race at the Commonwealth Games, which concluded just days before the European Championships begin in Munich. In January, a 30-year-old woman experienced an ectopic pregnancy.
Is Laura Kenny Pregnant?
No, Laura is not pregnant at the moment.
Kenny revealed in April that she had a miscarriage in November when she was nine weeks pregnant.
The 30-year-old contracted coronavirus in January and was taken to the hospital, where she was discovered suffering from an ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself outside the womb.
What Happened To Laura Kenny Fallopian Tube?
She removed one of her fallopian tubes due to an ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the womb, most commonly in one of the Fallopian tubes.
They revealed the tragic story on Instagram, writing, “Scared doesn’t even come close.” That day, I lost a Fallopian tube. I’ve always known I was tough, but life can push you to your breaking point.”
She continued: Since the Olympics, we haven’t had much luck, and it’s been the most challenging few months I’ve ever had to go through. Jason and I became pregnant immediately after the Games, and we were overjoyed. Unfortunately, while commentating at the Track Champions League in November, I miscarried our baby at nine weeks.
Kenny returned to the racetrack on Thursday, winning silver in the team pursuit at the UCI Track Nations Cup in Glasgow.
Meet Laura Kenny’s Husband Jason Kenny And Children
Mrs. Kenny married her 34-year-old cyclist husband Jason in September 2016, and the couple welcomed a baby boy, Albie, in 2017.
Jason is a former English track cyclist specializing in individual and team sprints. Kenny has won the most Olympic gold medals. Kenny’s first track competition was in the Future Stars series, a junior competition held at the Manchester Velodrome as part of the Revolution series.
Katie and Laura were the British Olympic gold medalists in Tokyo. Both road cyclists’ Olympic victories in Tokyo were not their first. Katie won her second Olympic gold medal, while Laura won her fifth.
Moreover, Laura finds her husband and son to be very supportive. She stated earlier this year that if it hadn’t been for the support of her husband and fellow Olympian Jason and their son Albie, she could have ended a career that yielded six Olympic medals.
