Batiste is currently fine but was tested covid positive for Covid-19, days after appearing at the Met Gala 2022 event. He and his whole team tested positive for Coronavirus.
He was practicing to perform in the upcoming show that was going to be held at the Carnegie Hall, New York City, on May 7, but he had to postpone the Symphony performance after being covid positive.

After appearing at the gala 2022 event, Batiste and his team tested covid positive for Covid-19 and announced the sad news through his social media. he even postponed the Symphony performance that was going to be held at the Carnegie Hall, New York City, on May 7.
Apart from covid, he doesn’t have any illness. He might update about his illness if he suffers from any sickness.
However, his wife was admitted to the hospital to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Suleika Jaouad has written publicly about having Acute Myelogenous Leukemia which is a type of blood cancer involving white blood cells.

A week ago, he was tested covid positive. But his wife had to battle leukemia for the second time. So far, she had undergone a bone marrow transplant and continues her chemotherapy treatments to treat cancers. However, she managed to keep a positive attitude.
Becoming a victim of this disease around 11 years ago and having less than a half-chance to survive, she manages to fight against the evil growing inside her body. The journey was not easy but however, but she was strong enough to fight back and win against her illness and her biggest strength was her husband and her family.
Even she has lost weight during her chemotherapy treatments. Currently, Her health condition seems to be improving looking at her pictures from 2022.
Does He Have Cancer?
Jon Batiste is completely fine. However, his wife Suleika Jaouad was diagnosed with leukemia. Just a day after getting married, Jaouad got admitted to the hospital. She first had AML when she was 22 and she found out it had come back.
She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy with a clinical trial and also received a bone marrow transplant. finally, she become cancer-free in 2014.
According to the doctor, the Cancer that Jaouad was suffering from is very rare. Only, about 5 percent of the people in the world suffer from this cancer. The causes are still yet to be delineated.
