Is Jon batiste Sick? The Late Show Bandleader And Musical Director Is Performing At The YouTube Brandcast

Jon Batiste might have looked a little sick while performing at the YouTube Brandcast. Where is the Late Show bandleader and musical director now?

Batiste is an American singer, musician, and television personality who appears on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert as musical director and bandleader. He and his band Stay Human frequently tour together and perform at events.

Jon has performed with several artists, including Mavis Staples, Ed Sheeran, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, Prince Willie Nelson, and Roy Hargrove. He won five Grammy Awards this year, including the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

Is Jon Batiste Sick? Illness & Health Update

Jon Batiste is currently doing fine as he is not sick. However, days after appearing at the Met Gala 2022 event, he tested positive for Covid-19. He announced in early May that he and his team tested positive for Coronavirus.

Batiste was practicing to perform at the Carnegie Hall, New York City, on May 7, but he had to postpone the Symphony performance. He announced the sad news on his social media and thanked all his supporters for their love and well wishes.

However, Jon’s wife, Suleika Jaouad, was diagnosed with leukemia. The couple got married just a day before getting admitted to the hospital. The wedding was small and beautiful, and they used bread ties as they did not have any formal rings. Suleika had to undergo a bone marrow transplant, reports NBC News.

Talking about his current health status, the Grammy-winning musician seems to be doing well. If he suffers from any illness, he might update his fans on social media.

Where Is Jon Batiste?

Jon Batiste is performing at the YouTube Brandcast. It is a smaller affair than in previous years, and the YouTube advertisers might post more about it soon.

Batiste will soon make his feature acting debut with The Color Purple. He will portray Shug Avery’s husband, Grady, and other cast members, including Colman Domingo, Danielle Brooks, Taraji P. Henson, and Corey Hawkins, to name a few.

He supports activist and attorney Bryan Stevenson and his Equal Justice Initiative. As a civil rights supporter, he has sponsored the Innocence Project, The Legacy Museum, and Innocence Project.

Is Jon Batiste Still On Colbert?

Jon Batiste is still on Colbert. After performing on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report in 2014, they figured out they had good chemistry. The host kept inviting the musician back, and several years later, they are still working together.

After his five Grammy wins, Jon talked to Stephen and stated that he was still processing the whole thing, reports American Songwriter. His family was there to witness the entire achievement.
