Corden was born James Kimberley Corden, the second of three children born to Margaret and Malcolm Corden on August 22, 1978 in Hillingdon, Greater London. However, he grew up in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire, where he attended Park Middle School and Holmer Green Upper School.
During his childhood, Corden took inspiration from his father, who was a musician in the Royal Air Force Band, to become a singer.
