Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft was born on April 3, 1991 in Los Angeles, California to a skater, choreographer mother, Sarah Kawahara and a voice actor/comedian father, Jamie Alcroft. She has 2 siblings; a brother Thatcher and sister Alyssa. The actress is an American by birth but is said to be of mixed race and Scottish, Japanese, German and Welsh ancestry. Her grandparents are said to have emigrated to the United States.
She entered the entertainment scene at the young age of 5 after being spotted at the Culver City ice rink. She also learned to drum at the age of 6 and started her own drum chart releases, which she sold in local music stores until she was 11. She then appeared in several teens films.

In an effort to expand her expertise, Harley Kiyoko directed her videos “Sleepover,” “Feelings,” and “Curious,” which were released in March, October, and December 2017 ahead of her debut studio album Expectations , which is due out on March 30. March 2018 fell. The album debuted in the top 20 charts in the US, Canada and Australia.
