Is Gemma Owen Related To Kate Middleton? Family Tree Link Explored

Love Island has returned with an all-new cast of competitors and a brand-new villa.

However, one contender has already garnered more notice than the others: Gemma Owen, the daughter of former England footballer Michael Owen.

Gemma, 19, is the island’s youngest participant this year.

Gemma Owen is not connected to Kate Middleton, however, their fathers do have the same name, Michael. Because of this, they are frequently misinterpreted as siblings.

Kate belongs to the British royal family. Catherine is married to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, who is second in line to the British throne, making her a possible future queen consort.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had an eventful couple of days last week when touring their namesake county of Cambridgeshire.

They saw their first official combined portrait and participated in arts and crafts with children from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice. They even attended Cambridgeshire County Day at Newmarket Racecourse.

On the other hand, Gemma is the daughter of legendary football player Micahel Owen. She is the island’s youngest participant this year, at the age of 19.

Gemma is a British international dressage rider who participated in the 2021 European Championships. She is also a business entrepreneur, having just started her brand OG Beachwear.

While Gemma looks to be having fun on her personal Instagram profile with the occasional drink of wine and gorgeous bikini-clad photographs, her profession as a dressage rider keeps her busy.

Horseback riding is a terrific way to get in shape, especially if you do it every day like Gemma. The Love Island beauty is undeniably one of the villa’s favorites and has been partnered up the most times of any lady.

Gemma’s form has lately been hailed a “beautiful body” by fishmonger Luca.

Gemma Owen, The Daughter Of English Striker Michael Owen

Gemma Owen is the eldest daughter of professional football player Michael Owen. He is a former English professional football striker who played for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Stoke City, as well as the England national team.

She was born to Michael and Louise Bonsall on May 1, 2003. She grew up with three other siblings. Her brother, James Michael was born on February 6, 2006.

Similarly, Emily May, her one sister was born on October 29, 2007, and another sister, Jessica, on February 26, 2010.

She is presently 19 years old, while her brother and sister are all under the age of 16. Michael stated he was skeptical about his daughter signing up for the ITV2 program(Mirror).

But today was definitely not the night for him to watch as the Islanders were charged with doing romantic dances for their partners.

Gemma attempted to set the males’ hearts beating tonight, as her father Michael Owen watched from home. Gemma was one of the first females up, and she performed for all the boys, focusing primarily on Luca Bish.

She has been paired with Luca for the majority of her time in the villa, and the two are growing closer than ever.

Michael previously stated that he disliked seeing his daughter swear so much on the show.

“One thing I didn’t like about the episode was the amount of profanity, especially from Gemma. I was yelling at the TV when she shouted the s**t word (he spells it out). I don’t accept profanity in my house “He elaborated.

Gemma Owen’s Appearance On Love Island Is Not Doing Well For Her Father

Gemma Owen told the Daily Mail that her renowned father isn’t overjoyed about her being on Love Island. He did, however, inform her, “I’m not going to tell you what to do.”

“He is really supportive of anything I decide to pursue.” He didn’t throw a major tantrum or anything. He was quite relaxed since he trusts me not to disgrace him. “He took it nicely,” she added.

Gemma had stated to the Mail earlier this year that she had no intention of joining the villa. “I watch Love Island every summer, but it’s not something I’d consider doing right now since I’m not searching for love,” she explained.

“I’m not sure I could kiss ten boys in a row.” But I believe it’s a fantastic program.

“But males aren’t on the cards right now, and my father would be furious if I came back and said, ‘I’m going to Love Island.'”

“I am open to finding love, and I want to have a great good summer,” Gemma stated when asked what changed her mind. I was seeing someone, but it didn’t work out, so I figured, ‘Why not?'”

Gemma started the series with Davide. The eight-year age difference between them sparked controversy, with many viewers asking if the relationship was suitable.

However, she later rejoined Luca.

The villa was startled on Sunday (12 June) when it was revealed that new competitor Jacques O’Neill was Gemma’s ex-boyfriend.
